This year, our country is celebrating it’s 250th anniversary. If you are hosting a party in honor of this milestone event, I hope this pretty July 4th tablescape gives you some inspiration!
I love the blue and white aesthetic, and adding a punch of red really turns this classic setup into something suitable for Independence Day.

I started with my favorite tablecloth. I have been obsessed with this look lately – I got the idea for creating a custom ruffled tablecloth from a design magazine. I crafted this one from a sheet that I thrifted.
If you don’t know this trick, you can browse the textiles section of your local thrift store, but consider using sheets and curtains as fabric. It’s so much cheaper than buying yards of new fabric, and it’s sustainable.

I layered on some natural woven jute placemats that I scored at Hobby Lobby. Then I added my classic Blue Willow plates, which are my favorite plate that I use on so many of my summer tablescapes. I inherited them from my mom, but added to my collection by thrifting. I then topped these with some white milk glass plates, also inherited from my mom.

The pop of red comes from some red crystal glasses that my mom loaned me for this tablescape. They are stunning, and help add a sense of patriotism to this scape, in a classy way.

The centerpiece is my favorite blue and white vase, stuffed with some faux hydrangeas. You could totally use real ones for this – in fact, I recommend it. But our local Produce Junction was out of hydrangeas, so I had to improvise.
I added some small American flags to the centerpiece. I love the combination of the flags and the puffy flowers. I have been wanting to try this look out for a while!

I hope you enjoyed this summer tablescape. It’s one of my favorites that I’ve created. I truly enjoy collecting the pieces to put together these gorgeous setups!

Design, thrifting, and entertaining are my passion, and I share that passion with you through this blog. I also love being in the kitchen and crafting cocktails. I love Jesus and occasionally, I talk about him too. He has been so powerful in my life, and I love to bring him glory with my hobbies.
