4th of July Party: The Perfect Summer Soiree

By , June 10, 2026

The USA is celebrating its 250th anniversary, or semiquincentennial. If you are hosting a summer soiree in honor of this momentous occasion, I’d like to provide you with some inspiration for a beautiful 4th of July party that serves some tasty dishes and drinks.

From creating a gorgeous tablescape to planning the perfect menu, here are some ideas gathered from my blog that would make for the perfect festive celebration.

4th of July Party: Tablescapes

Summer Tablescape: Classy 4th of July Table

Every beautiful party needs a gorgeous tablescape! I like to create mine using my collection of glassware and dishes. This is perfect if the party is indoors, or if you’re hosting an outdoor dinner party.

Your tablescape need not be this fancy if you are hosting a casual gathering. You can use paper plates and cups for ease of cleaning and to avoid broken dishes. But taking that extra time to decorate and lay everything out on the table will help make the party truly memorable.

4th of July Party: Food

Best Air Fryer Chicken Wings

Tasty summer food is really what everyone came for – besides the company! Here are a few of my favorite recipes that work well for a summer party. Both of these recipes were created by my husband, who really makes amazing food.

Pork Skewers

These pork skewers are made on on a stovetop griddle, but if you’re griddling outside you can follow this recipe and just adjust your cooking time and make sure that the pork cooks all the way through.

4th of July Party: Beverages

Two glasses of peach mint vodka cocktail with peaches

For an alcoholic option, try this peach mint vodka cocktail. The peach flavor and fresh mint are summer in a glass!

You can adjust this recipe to make a pitcher that can be served at your party. Instead of an ounce and a half of alcohol per serving, I recommend using just an ounce if you’re serving a crowd. This allows people to enjoy a second or third drink without overdoing it.

Strawberry mocktail

For a non-alcoholic drink, this strawberry mint mocktail is absolutely perfect. It is refreshing and has muddled strawberries and mint for a tasty treat that anyone can enjoy.
