I love decorating for fall! It is my favorite season – there’s just something about the crisp, cool air, the scent of apples and cinnamon, and the cozy sweaters. Every year I brainstorm in August to come up with some new fall décor ideas to start the season right.
Although I love fall, I don’t like to decorate early. I always start my fall décor after Labor Day. I will be sharing my fall décor for this year over on my Instagram @Lauren_Rose_Home, but I wanted to share some early advice for those who plan ahead, like me.
I pulled together some photos and previous posts to share some fall décor ideas from years past. Hopefully this helps you get some inspiration for the season. I know it’s inspiring me to think about what I will repeat from previous years and what new ideas I want to try!
Without further ado, here are my fall décor ideas:

My favorite way to decorate for fall is with dried florals. And my favorite dried flower would have to be a hydrangea! When dried out, they last all through the fall season. You can poke the stems into a grapevine wreath, into floral foam in a vase for an arrangement, or you could create a swag.

A fun way to bring fall to your entryway is through a seasonal wreath. You can use fall florals, like hydrangeas and sunflowers, pumpkin picks, and pinecones to create a gorgeous autumnal wreath. Last year I shared five different wreath designs that are easy to replicate. Check out the blog post for some inspiration!

Pumpkins are a fall staple, and no autumn décor is complete without them! You can decorate with real pumpkins, velvet pumpkins, chinoiserie pumpkins, and even pumpkin topiaries. There are also some clever DIY projects you can do with pumpkins to customize them.
My pumpkin décor ideas post shares a variety of ways you can incorporate pumpkins into a classy and traditional home.

Besides decorating your home, you’ll also want to create a stunning fall table for gatherings with family and friends. In my recent blog post, I shared a gorgeous fall tablescape created from collected Blue Willow plates paired with Dollar Tree finds.
