I think that winter is one of the most challenging times of year to decorate for. I’m talking about January and February, when the weather is cold but Christmas is over. This is when you need to decorate for winter, rather than a holiday. I’m always up to the challenge of decorating for after the holidays, and these winter wreath ideas will give you some inspiration!
These ideas use everything from winter greens, to berries, to dried oranges. In my fall wreath ideas post, I challenged myself to make five wreaths using items I already had in my décor stash. I was able to do that challenge again with these winter wreath ideas! The only thing I purchased was a bag of fresh oranges to dry out.

This simple winter wreath is one that I created a few years ago to use after Christmas. I used some winter berries, red roses, and pine cones for a simple but pretty effect. The cool thing about this wreath is that the red roses make it work for Valentine’s Day as well. I simply added a cute red Valentine’s sign for February to make this wreath more festive for the holiday!
Poinsettias are a holiday flower that really work well for winter. You could go all around the wreath with them or just part of the wreath, like I did. It works well if you celebrate Christmas, but it can still carry you through the winter.
For this wreath, I went all the way around the wreath with poinsettias and greenery. I love the way this one turned out! You can use any winter greens to create this effect, including pine or eucalyptus.
Of all the wreaths I created, this one is my favorite by far. The cinnamon sticks and dried oranges are fragrant and beautiful. I have this one hanging up on my front door, and I plan to use it all winter long! If you want to recreate this look, I’ve got a dried orange wreath tutorial to walk you through it.
Last but not least, I used eucalyptus garland, berries, pine cones, and the rest of my dried orange slices to create this beauty. I wrapped the eucalyptus around first. Then I just alternated between berries, pine cones, and oranges until I went all the way around the wreath.
