My Favorite Bread Recipes: 6 Easy Recipes to Try

By , July 10, 2025

Ever since my daughter was born, I’ve had an interest in baking. Baking gives me something productive and fun to do during the day, and I like that my husband and I get to enjoy the tasty results. I think that of all the things I enjoy baking, bread is probably number one. I can often be found in the kitchen crafting one of my favorite bread recipes.

Over time, I’ve found there are a few bread recipes that I really gravitate toward. In this blog post, I’m sharing six of my favorite recipes for a variety of different breads, from classic artisan bread to lavender tea bread. I hope you’ll be inspired to give a new recipe a try!

Favorite Bread Recipes: Artisan Bread Loaf

3-Ingredient Artisan Bread

This is truly the easiest bread recipe I’ve ever made, and I come back to it time and again. It comes together quickly and it has amazing texture. I like to bake mine on a pizza stone. I also fill a pan with about five ice cubes and place it in the bottom of the oven during baking to create steam, which produces a crusty exterior.

Easy Banana Bread

Banana Bread

Banana bread has long been a favorite of mine, since before I took an interest in baking. When my husband and I were dating, I would bake banana bread before he came over so my house smelled good. I like to put an extra banana in my batter – four total. I do this because I really like it when the top of the bread is soft and mushy.

Tea Bread

Lavender Tea Bread

I love baking with lavender, and this lavender tea bread is a sweet and tasty treat. It is a great bread for a tea party themed bridal shower, or just to savor with a friend in the afternoon. Enjoy it with a delicious cup of tea or coffee.

Best Bread Recipes: Hamburger Buns with butter

Quick and Easy Hamburger Buns

These buns are absolutely delicious! I make them to go with barbecue pulled chicken as sandwiches or for turkey burgers. You can either do an egg wash prior to baking for a shiny bun or you can brush on butter after removing them from the oven for extra flavor.

Easy Biscuits

3 Ingredient Biscuits

I love making these easy biscuits for breakfast. They are so simple and only require three ingredients. My favorite way to enjoy them is with apple butter, but they are great with any jelly, jam, or buttery spread.

Best Bread Recipes: Cut open loaf of rosemary garlic artisan bread

Rosemary & Roasted Garlic Artisan Bread

This rosemary garlic bread was a more recent discovery. It was my first time baking bread in a Dutch oven, and I was amazed at the texture and taste. Full disclosure, I did not have fresh garlic so I added a dash of garlic powder to the dough instead, and it still came out great!
